So a week and a half into TLD, and it's going well! I did miss two days in the middle, but I'm planning to double up this weekend to make-up!
Yesterday's Dare was to "Think of a specific way to greet your spouse today. Do it with a smile and enthusiasm. Then determine to change your greeting to reflect your love for them." Well, when I came home from work yesterday, M was in the kitchen making dinner (pasta and sauce! yum!). I brought the mail in and gave him a package and then sat at the couch. Whoops! After being home for at least 10 minutes, I remembered the Dare. So I went outside, and came back in. When I said, "Honey, I'm hooooooome," he looked so confused! I went into the kitchen, gave him a big kiss and told him how lucky I am to have him as my husband. Saved! Our after work greeting is definitely something I can improve on.
I remember growing up, my Dad would always go right to my Mom and kiss her after work. That has turned into one of the best memories I have of my parents. I was so sweet and inspiring to see their daily love for each other.
BTW, I'm loving all the replies for the giveaway! Keep 'em coming!

The Love Dare
Last year a movie came out called "The Love Dare." It was about a man and his wife who were struggling in their marriage. He made the commitment to change when his dad offered him a book called "The Love Dare." The Love Dare is a 40 day journey in which you make concious decisions to treat yourself with respect and love, while doing daily devotionals. Here's more info...

This morning on the nest, someone said that if we all started TLD today, we would complete the 40 days on Valentine's. I think M and I have a terrific marriage, but there is always room for improvement. I'm going to take the next 40 days to give him the best Valentine's gift ever...unconditional love. I know that some days will be challenging, but Matthew's worth it!
Here's the link to the nest posts.

I have the best husband. Jealous?
M went to the grocery store for me today. Actually he went on our last grocery shopping trip, too. Two trips in a row. I am beginning to forget (thank goodness!) what the inside of a grocery store looks like. He he bought me some treats while he was there, too. The most thoughtful of which was eclairs. The second most thoughtful was Sour Patch Kids - four bags full. Sour Patch Kids, I have discovered, do wonders for morning sickness. I went all day without throwing up. Such a small accomplishment, considering I was nauseous most of the day, but still I can celebrate.
I love my supportive husband!

It's going to be a long 9 months!
I just got this text message from M: "I love you baby! I love you Lisa, also!" I love when he shows how excited he is to have a little one on the way. He's been kissing and rubbing my belly every night. He's also been doing extra things for me, too. Yesterday he went out on a full grocery trip. It was so nice for me to just lay on the couch while he catered to me :)
I have already been hit with the tired stick. Yesterday I yawned all day long, and by the time I got home, I felt exhausted. I was in bed by 10 and asleep by 10:30. Totally tucked out. I can tell already - and it is only 10:20am, that tonight I will probably be in bed ever earlier. I also discovered yesterday that I can't eat cream cheese. Two days ago, it tasted funny. Yesterday it was inedible and made me gag. That stinks, because I usually eat an english muffin with cream cheese on most mornings. Today I had a donut - no aversion to that!

AF shows early/ I love the Steelers
No need to test and see a BFN this cycle. AF showed her ugly face 2 days early. I suppose early is better than late. M has a great attitude. He just said we have another month of fun trying ahead of us. I'm glad he didn't get down like I did. He cheered me up with Chinese food :) We will be using dollar tree OPKs this cycle. I'm trying not to put too much pressure on us, though. All we can do is BD. The rest is up to God!Matthew took me to the Steeler/Redskin preseason game last night. We had a great adventure. There was flash flooding while we were driving on 495 in crazy traffic. Not fun! I also wore crappy flipflops, so we stopped at Dicks to buy other shoes that gave me ouchy blisters. On the 30 minute walk to the stadium, I went barefoot! Both teams had some great plays that were fun to watch. We managed to keep the mood playful and low-tension, even though we were cheering for opposite teams. I consider myself to be the true fan of the two of us, of course :)
Final score was 17-14 Skins, but the Steelers won the first quarter (what really counts!), so I was still happy.
